I test drove a 2004 C230 Sport a couple of month ago. I was smitten.

It had all the gizmos but more importantly the excellent sport seats. They were really, really comfortable.

Compared to my 2003 BMW 325i, it had the same kind of perfect steering feel, BETTER handling and MUCH BETTER ride. The ride was unbelievably smooth on some extremely bumpy roads despite low profile summer tires. It was wearing 225/45-17 front and 245/40-17 rear. Continental ContiSport2. Engine had little power at low revs and I could clearly feel the difference between on- and off-boost operation. However, midrange power was more than adequate. It felt really good at higher speeds -- rock solid and very relaxed. Fantastic brake feel, too.

Overall, I really liked it. Extremely fun and capable car.

I would have bought it except the dealer was not cooperating on the price.
