Yes, I heard about the transmission troubles!

Looking for a second car - and no good Saabs to be found locally, and we're MOVING in a week so it's tough to travel for one right now.

Down the street, just saw it today: one owner, local car, all service records, no accident, no smoking, 2000 Accord EX V6 coupe, AT, 165k km (102k mi). Needs tires, front brakes, SRS light is on (typical seatbelt sensor), ACC light is out. Absolutely immaculate original paint, immaculate interior, perfect glass. Many service calls for 'leaky tires' (bad alloys?). Runs perfectly & drives well (feels like it needs tires). He's looking for $8000 which is about low end of market value around here.

So how bad is the transmission on these things? It's still on the original which drives fine. Anyone have any experience? How about gas mileage?
