Plastic inserts?

I don't know how the inserts work on that car, but auto parts stores usually have different size license plate inserts. They are plastic and come with screws. A good hardware store will also have a selection of inserts that are either for this purpose or can be used for it.
You press the insert into the hole then mount the plate using the screws.
