the street from the edge of the evacuation warning areaat one point. they have pulled back the warning area quite a bit now, so i'm not too too concerned lol.

it's been quite an interesting sight, going from 190 to 500 to 2700 acres in the space of three days. clear at noontime (faint campfire distance smoke/haze in air) to very strong winds and dark dark clouds of smoke come 3-4pm. i don't envy the firefighters working in 95-102 degree air temps either.

it's been cooler and most of the major thorougfares are open again, so that's also good news. after all, with the zaca fire burning the northern part of county last year, the gap fire burning the western part and foothills last fall, and the tea fire burning the eastern end during the winter, there shouldn't be too much fuel left other than coming south into town :-D warped view i know, but since i don't have renters insurance what else can i do but laugh?
