I knew Jeep Wranglers had good resale value, but I had no idea just how good. It was recently named No.1 in one of those top ten lists. A typical '08 Wrangler 4 door, hardtop with 44,000 miles still retained 91% of it's sticker price on trade-in value. When you consider that most people get them for less than sticker and the fact that's what you'd get from a dealer on trade-in verses selling it yourself, that's just astounding. Admittedly I liked them well enough to buy a new one but there's just no way I would pay that kind of money for a used one. I get on a Jeep forum and these guys are paying (and financing) cars with 50K, 60K, 70K miles for $20,000 and more. And get this, they'll actually pay extra for Jeeps that are "moded" ie. jacked up with big tires and looking like they've been through every mud hole in the county. I don't get it, Jeeps are fun but these people have a screw loose.
