The security thing... Posted by Johnson [Email] (#3237) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Johnson) on Thu, 26 Jul 2012 19:53:41 In Reply to: 04 Alero, Les_H, Sun, 24 Jun 2012 11:37:19 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
actually happened to me a couple of weeks ago... It took me about 5 minutes on the internet to find your solution, and it worked... Kinda frustrating though. Its my commuter car, I can't imagine that happening to my wife, if she were to get stuck some where with our two little kids in the AZ heat. I had gone out for lunch and it took me an extra 20 minutes to get back to work, cuz i had to search for a resolution, and then give it a try before getting back to work. I have the 4cyl, from all accounts is pretty reliable, and I get pretty good gas milage, 27-32 with my typical driving (60% highway). and the AC works great. Better than the saab. maybe because the cabin is smaller, it just seems to be able to break through the high car temps after sitting for a long time more quickly.
Is not fast, I have to be a lot more thoughtful of "is there enough room for me to do that?" Where with the saab with much better breaks and twice the power I just do.
But I do like the car a lot. Its not my saab, but for what I paid for it (2500 bucks) I couldn't ask for a better car. its clean looking, clean inside and out, and expect for two problems (a radiator fan motor going bad, and the security issue) it has been very very very reliable. I haven't owned it long. but I have already put nearly 10k miles on it. I plan on driving it till either it dies, or I hit 200k miles. then get rid of it.
