Think of it this way.
If you make it to 100K (or 150K) and the transmission fails, will you be happy that at least you saved a few hundred dollars of deferred transmission fluid maintenance?
Or will you think that IF? I at least had changed the fluid, I would have saved thousands of dollars.
And on the other side.
If you have changed the fluid on a regular basis and the transmission still fail at 100 (or 150K) then you at least can say that, I did the best I could. As long as you went to a place where they used the proper fluid and procedures.
If you have your transmission fluid changed at a place where they use one-size-don't-fit-at-all fluid, then everything is up in the air anyway and you should probably stayed with the original fluid.
I see nothing wrong with changing the transmission fluid on a regular basis just for peace of mind many years further down the road.
