Considering 2012 Mazda5

I've got a 2002 Saab 9-3SE 5-door (125K) and a 2002 9-5 Aero SW (165K), both are 5-speed manual transmission cars.
My wife and I are having our 3rd child in November and we need something that will handle 2 carseats and a booster seat, plus have some room for cargo. This means a 3rd row seat. Those are my wife's requirements.
My requirements are FWD, manual transmission, decent fuel economy. Automatic climate control is a nice-to-have. So far, the only thing that meets these criteria is the 2012 Mazda Sport. I test drove one at CarMax and it was a bit better than I expected. The 100 hp drop from my Aero SW was not glaring in the back-street test drive that I did, but I'm sure it would be noticeable on the highway.
That said, this will be a highway hauler.
The 2012 model is much improved over earlier Mazda5's
Both of our Saabs have a few mechanical issues, but I'm considering trading in the 9-3 as it is smaller and has slightly higher trade-in value. The 9-5 has it's issues, but it is a joy to drive still, and fairly roomy.
Anyone else in the same boat?
JMJ
