2003 Chevy Silverado Suspension Overhaul Suggestions? Posted by Tulsaab [Email] (#31) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Tulsaab) on Sat, 12 Jan 2013 17:30:33 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
After having a heck of a time looking at the various Chevy truck forums trying to find an answer to my problems (why don't they differentiate maintenance vs. mods and by model year!?!?) I thought i'd throw it out to the fine folks at SaabNet to help me out.
Along with my fleet of Saabs, I have an '03 Silverado which I bought from Uncle Sam a few years back. It has 90K miles now, and spent the first 65k with the Army Corp driving around Arkansas, so the suspension is now pretty beat. It's also got the famous GM truck lean to the driver's side, always reminding me that i need to lose a few pounds when I hop in.
So, I know I need new struts up front w/ springs, as well as shocks in the back. Also, my outer tie rod end boots are both ripped, and one of my upper ball joints is ripped as well. So, I figure if i'm doing all this work, is there anything else I should be doing at the same time? Any bushings, etc that I need to worry about?
