Gone Italian..... Posted by Mike Lynch [Email] (#81) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Mike Lynch) on Thu, 28 Feb 2013 10:19:02 In Reply to: Motorcycles?, Johnson [Profile/Gallery] , Wed, 27 Feb 2013 14:01:19 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I've been a BMW motorcycle guy for quite awhile, but I've been working at the local Italian motorcycle playground, GP Motorcycles, for the last eight months. It's a total gearhead drool fest as we carry all five Italian lines; sales leader Ducati, the exotic MV Agusta, world superbike champion Aprilia, Moto Guzzi, and Husqvarna. Plus the Austrian KTM dirt and street line and shortly our first Norton 961 Commando's will be arriving. My new Ducati Multistrada 1200 Granturismo will arrive in April to replace my old BMW, a 2009 R1200RT with 55,000 miles.
I'm the luckiest guy on earth as all my wife likes to do is ride on the back of my bike. Motorcycle touring all over the world is our passion. We just spent a month in South Africa with good friends originally from South Africa, with two weeks riding the entire Western Cape on a couple of rented R1200GS'.
I'm also very lucky not to have to sell cars to make a living. My last car job was 2006 selling Saabs at Continental in Oceanside.......
It's quite a golden age so to speak for motorcycles and motorcycle technology. There are exciting new models from all the manufacturers, Italian as well as German, Japanese and Austrian, even China. And the price of gas isn't hurting business either.......
