One easy, non-invasive way to get increased flow is just to chamfer the holes. Use a small tool in a dremel or air tool and just try to eliminate sharp edges and sudden transitions. Don't hog out the holes, don't touch the sealing surfaces, just put a nice radius around the holes in the banjo fittings.
If the engine is apart, you can do this to the oil pump too, and even the oil holes in the crank. I don't have numbers to back this up, but I have read about it in most of the performance engine building books I've read.
I heartily agree with using stock and junkyard parts rather than aftermarket stuff. I learned years ago while building aircooled VWs that the factory engineers actually do know what they're doing. If you're smart, careful and clever, you can extract lots of extra goodness from seemingly mundane parts. Observe and imagine.
