Howdy,
Happy Thanksgiving.
I was fortunate enough to just buy a 38,000mi. SPG Grey in mint shape for $1,300.00/
I just put in a swedish dynamics t3//t4 turbo fmic, Greddy BOV, SD APC, Brad's AID 36lb injectors which is causing my car to idle lumpy. ALong with K&N filter through the wheel well etc.
I could use Jak stoll's ECU chip or SDS or Motec, Haltec Standalone.
Why should I go with these standalone engine management systems if all I am looking to hopefully accomplish is 270-290hp with the lowest amount of torque as possible.
Brian Kidder and Jak Stoll both got 250hp+ with stock engine management.
SO I don't knowo if I should go GM's method or Vince TOng's method. Vince is up around 300hp anmd so is GM. Both have blownm the best trannys available so I don't know which way to go.
$4,800.00 for a Scanwest tranny is alot of monet almost 4x as much as my car!
Although my car is in showroom condition.
I have 6,500.00 to put into it once I sell my GSXR 1100.
I was thinking what if I just used an MF2 Driver to run secondary injectors to overcome the fuel issue.
IS SDS really worth it? OR can I achieve 275+ with the stock ECU with the use if a 3" downpie and exhaust.
Please help point me in the right direction.
I have already spent over $3,000.00 on bolt on band aids.
Which I could always sell.
Any advice is critical.
I am not just another guy posting messages without putting my mouth where my money is. I want to build aan ultimate street and part time track racer.
Any help will be very helpful.
Thanks in advance Jon in Texas.
PS- if you want a list of my upgrades just figure everything SD and Grp9 have to offer sa bolt ons.
