WP = Winner Power, a Taiwanese company selling "sporty" calipers, most likely designed by another company in the West, then plagierized by WP. Unless someone has evidence showing otherwise, I say you get what you pay for, which is likely a cheaply-made, flexible caliper with poor parts/manufacturer support.
If you feel the need to put fancy brakes on a track car, do yourself a favor and work with a known brand.
Also, more pistons doesn't necessarily mean Better Brakes. Piston Area is what's important. Basically, for road cars, any more than four pistons and you're likely seeing a brake designed by marketing guys, not engineers. At least, that is what I was told by a gentleman who owns/runs a company designing high-performance, rice-free aftermarket brake systems (he's also a Pikes Peak winner, in some open-wheeled car, so I assume he knows what he's talking about).
