Good question. My understanding is that SQR keeps all of the safety programs in their ECU's. You saw my video of the CSE anni....from the other site. What do you think?
The needle runs a litle past the red then corrects back into the end of the red. As the rpm's rise the needle moves steady back into the red.
I have run this SQR ECU in two cars with the same results. The car I had it in before was a '97 CSE anni with 118K miles. It has a 3" turbo back from Group 9, Abbott intake pipe, forge dump valve, ITG air filter. The ECU was installed at about 80K miles. It ran perfect.....but , I must say it was producing a flutter, Fuel cut off? as it was boosting initially higher under heavy acceleration. You could back off of it and them ease back into the throttle and there would be no problem.
I don't seem to have that issue with it in the current Aero.
