you'll see any real power gains with either one. After my 3" downpipe, I added the rest of the exhaust. While it added a little more power up top, it felt like I lost some of the "slingshot" turbo feeling that I loved as the power seemed more linear. The stg 3 made the car into a whole different animal. If you're set on buying one or the other, I'd go with the exhaust if not for the sound alone.
