Changing the turbo does not in any way increase the boost. A larger turbo might be a bit slower to get on boost. The only way to increase boost with the T7 is to change the software. One can increase the base boost and make boost come on faster with a SMBC, which can be a significant improvement. But one should not increase bass boost past stock peak boost... that is not the intent and you might get a CEL for that.

So a new turbo would not by itself increase boost or create a need for higher fuel pressure. The ECU will still control boost and the mixture will be managed by O2 sensor feedback. Likewise, you can change the intake/filter and DP/exhaust and everything balances out.

In general, a turbo change can be complicated and a new exhaust manifold is sometimes required if one changes to a different turbo family. There are 2 exhaust side connections, two intake air connections, two coolant connections and two engine oil connections.

Reducing intake and exhaust restrictions can make a T7 more willing or eager to get going. And peak torque and power will also improve, even though the ECU is maintaining the same air and fuel flows.
