Boost..and whooosh

Hey there.
I've been missing that familiar Whooshing sound from my turbo spooling up and the wastegate opening up. The turbo does indeed work, but it just seems not like before.
Had it into the dealership before for the issue, they checked the lines and found no problem..at that time the turbo was limp after about 100 miles into a long drive...struggle to get it up to 70.
What could be the issue? I've read about a bad boost pressure valve..any thoughts? hints?
Thanks in advance.
Tom
