If you choose to re-bend, you better have a spare set or two.
I got paragon SS lines and they will make them longer with the correct ends for you. You SHOULD be able to bypass the bendie line all together. I believe you'd send them both ends (so they know exactly wht you need) and the correct length.
Attach the line to the body and the caliper - then put the caliper on the car.
You'll want to run the linethrough a donut (or whatever they call them) like the e-brake cable goes through on the 88+ so you don't have any rub.
Or rebend - use a piece of wire to make the shape first and bend the line around a socket so you won't kink the line.

I have this set-up on my 86 SPG w/ 88+ hubs. My pedal is a bit weak, so I'm putting in a later style master and booster which should help.
The brakes are MUCH stronger and they are lighter than what I pulled of the 86. I got garbage from the yard and got lifetime rebuilds from Advanced. So far so good.
