When I did my Viggen transmission I upgraded the parts in the kit which addressed several points, mostly in the shifting forks and syncro mechanisms. The kit includes a fifth gear fork change that reduces flex, the origional Viggen and 9-5 boxes used a narrower fork that narrowed the transmission a couple of millimeters. I used the fifth gear and fork out of a 9000 which has a much stronger layout but requires using the outer housing off a older 900, 9000 or 9-3.
Let me know if you are interrested in looking into the fifth gear issue, I still have most of the parts needed.
