Best wishes to you to let it heal..
I hate hearing about these now that people close to me are the ones doing this. My father (does general contracting) fell off a ladder while putting siding up for a friend several months ago. Unfortunately, he was alone, knocked himself out for about two or three hours til a neighbour spotted him. He broke his collarbone, compressed a bit of his spine, broke two or three ribs, and generally was in a lot of pain. He's healed up now and starting to get back to work so we can joke about it.
My fiance's (yes, Marcia and I finally got engaged) father fell a few months before that while chainsawing branches out of a tree they were taking down. He messed up his back, but at least had the good mind to toss the saw out of harms way.
My best friend's father a few months before that fell out of a tree stand while hunting, and is a lot worse off, breaking his hip, and also being out by himself for several hours.
So, yes, you broke your arm, but it could be worse. And I am glad to hear you are in only two pieces. Please take some time to let it heal before you go wrenching, or at least attempt to use the bad arm (although I am sure you will try!)!!! The good news is that you should still be able to take the boy skate boarding!!!
Best wishes to you and the fam... Hope the pills kicked in!!!
Sean
