I used to build SICK aircooled engines but in this one bus
I had an ocrasa forged crank corillo rods & mahle slip skirt pistons with alum barrels & nicasill liners type1 lifters to lighten the valve train so the cam was custom ground by engle cams the heads were ported HUGE with 914 sodium filled exhaust valves on & on & on I think the parts alone in the engine were like $6000 the piston & barrel assys were $500 each
jacobs electronic igniton & delarto 40mm carbs
it was a 2412.5cc type4 engine & made 175BHP & gobs of torque
this van would pull the steepest hills excelerating & blew peoples minds & also ate many tranies :-)
awe the bad old days :-)
now I refer to them as lawnmower engines :-)
take care
