From your posts below it looks like you want to have control over things that your engine is doing, and from your website it looks like you deal with many different engines.

Maybe you should consider looking into a Mega Squirt or Mega Squirt and Spark? Probably with adapting one of those with some junkyard sensors you could surpass your HP goals for less than $500 total (assuming you have a laptop already). And have 100% control over things like emissions, which I know you'll have to deal with in NJ.

I'm working on other things right now so I haven't done a conversion yet, but I know there is more than one guy that has installed one of these units on some 99 and 900's on here. Very interesting stuff that would open a ton of doors for you in applications for other cars too--they can even control rotarys.

The learning curve might be a little steep if you're not real computer savy, but from the look of your website the payoff would be huge for you.
