One of my oil cooler hoses was leaking and I didn't want to go through the hassle of getting custom made hoses, plus I was worried about stripping the factory fittings, which look a little delicate to me. I used a dremel cut off wheel to cut off the factory crimps in-situ and simply replaced the leaking hose with oil/heat rated hose and two hose clamps per end. It has worked great so far (about a year) though I do try and check the clamps every oil change or so. I found the hose locally (it turns out there is actually a shop that sells nothing but hose!) but it should be easy to find on the net.
