The stock SE springs for my '96 900 with Bilstein HDs felt solid on a good even road but bumps on the road will be more pronounced since everything will rattle. IIRC, Bilstein HDs will also lift your car about 1/2 inch. I think it has to do with the internal bump stop. So, I went for lowering springs. I chose Vogtland, and that lowered the car about 1.4 inches. The car can corner with ease and less rattle over bumpy roads. The Bilstein HDs/Vogtland set-up feels that I have a stock SE suspension but a tad bit bouncy. If there are dips on the freeway and I am going faster that normal, I hit the bump stops and the front-end bounces a couple of times then levels-off. In hindsight, while the current set-up is comfy, KONI is the way to go with lowering springs since KONIs can be adjusted for rebound. I know that I did not answer you question directly but I figured I might as well offer you my comments related to the Bilstein/Vogtland combo since your Aero has the Bilstein.
