Yea - went into the trees in my original 900T and totalled it out. Bought a standard basic 900 body from South Carolina (Auto / NA) and swapped in the 5 spd. turbo.
Car will have to absolutely be stripped in order to change the wiring harness. It isn't practical to cut it up - they are totally different harnesses. Everything needs to be labeled correctly otherwise you'll lose track. I'd recommend those little specific number labels made exactly for this purpose that you stick on each end of the wire. Also keep a notebook as to what exactly those numbers are.
It's a pain. I'm not joking when I say that the ENTIRE car must be gutted. And then of course we added in the transmission rebuild and did some mild engine work. Fantastic way to spend a summer. I'd highly recommend having the donor car right next to the original if you plan on actually doing the swap.
And in all honesty - I'd say forget the NA and just find a turbo to begin with. You'll save yourself a ridiculous amount of trouble. On a positive note though - there is nothing left on this damned car that I can't fix. We've literally done it all. I don't know what else is left to break.
