This is a continuation of a prev thread below. You mentioned fashioning a box that will serve to connect the throttle body. Since you're going to be welding the injector bungs, why not also weld on the TB connection base? Mind you, I don't know what the older intake manifold looks like, but perhaps it can be cut in some way that the forward piece of an older 8V manifold will weld on? Or the later 16V manifold with the bolt studs already in place. All classic throttle bodies will mate up to all 8 or 16V manifolds.

Also, since you're going to keep boost down to 8psi, why not mate up a CIS fuel system instead of LH? That's basically what I've got - an older CIS fuel system mated to a formerly LH 16V engine. It's good for around 10psi. Maybe more, but 10 is all I want right now. The main selling points are the low maintenance factor and the reliability. It's also a relatively easy fab.

Note: before you cut those bungs down to size and weld them on, if you later decide you are going to be use a CIS system, those longer bungs will be necessary since the injectors are so long, or you'll have to create a bracket to fasten them to the manifold at the right depth. I used a modified LH fuel rail for my bracket.

Attaching anything to the underneath of a fiberglass hood is a matter of using any epoxy or fiberglass resin with strips of cloth. A metal and heat deflecting cloth layered sandwich would be rather easy to fix under the hood.
