I had to swap a new engine in my 82T because the original 8V engine died. I'd read about the 16V into 8V chassis swap on here and knew it could be done. And I also read about the 16V to CIS conversion. I luckily found a great low milage 16VT donor engine. I was doing the swap myself and didn't have enough time to fully convert the entire car over to the LH system. That's the main reason why I did the CIS conversion - less time involved. I planned on getting to the rest (wiring harness, electronics upgrade, etc), but because this setup has worked so well, I ran out of interest. When I do get around to the LH conversion, it will be a major upgrade - fully electronic ignition, tuned fuel mapping. So until then, I'm sticking with what I got.
