Just wondering if anyone has ran one. I used to have a 87 9k that ran decent :) and the Tranny was never gave me problems even though the gears were a little short it was perfect for acceleration from a dead stop or a small roll. Now i have a 94 aero, i love the car but my first impression of this car was "whats wrong with this tranny?" Shift from 1st to 2nd to 3rd really bother me since the gears are spaced so far apart and the car really seems to loose alot in between shifts.
Long story short my original trans took a dump, 2nd gear synchro gone completly. I ended up ordering a used trans only to find out that it was griding everytime i shift in 3rd and speedo gear inside the trans was striped/gone so speedometer wasnt working and i couldnt even get a chance to feel Jaks stage 4 Ecu which was freshly installed with the trans. So i completly bumed out, had to stay late at work and pull this trans back out called the yard and told them to come git this junk and give me my money back. After doing some research found that 94 9000 N/A trans has shorter gears and after talking with Scanwest i went ahead and ordered one from them.
So any experience with this? sorry for the long post guys
BTW anyone know how many QRTs the trans takes? saab told me 5 but that seems like a little too much.
