More then likely there were 2 or at least 2 different classes of cars out on the track. Look at some of the cars out there & he was just running away from them. My guess is several of the cars that he passed could of been in a class which did not allow as much HP mods as what the saab did which is why he ran from them so fast.

I think those older 911's are just trickey to drive & throwing a wet track out there I feel pretty much any fwd race car has a advantage over a rear engine 911 just because they are so tail happy.

There are numerous things they can do to get those older 911's to be rockets but it just depends on what the class regulations allow.
