To clarify how I got the milage. First I had to solve a high idle problem. It seems the Aero injectors are wicked good at atomization and I had to further limit the air flow to bring the idle down. I changed the idle plate stop to allow it to close a tad more. Then I adjusted the TPS. Net result is I think it uses a bit less fuel at idle. But the big gain is it seems to need less fuel when cruising, I am guessing from a combination of the Injector Technology and Jaks closed loop tuning (I know that sounds kind of like an oxy moron, the ECU maintains AF in closed loop).
This was not highway driving either. 25 mile trips, secondary roads, at 55-60 MPH. I used to get 30 MPG on the same circuit.
Interstate cruising will likely produce less MPG if you drive with a heavy foot. And that is the real key. KEEP YOUR FOOT OUT OF IT!!!!
There is one spot in my area where there is a 35 MPH limit coming out of the village. It opens to 55 MPH going up a hill. I love trolling at 35 MPH right to the speed change and then dropping the hammer. All the better when the car behind me has made up it mind to pass, but gets left in the dust. Kind of a juvenile thing for someone my age, but hey....
The combination of an Swedish Dynamics APC, Jak Stage 2 2.4 chip, and 431 injectors is a powerful upgrade that can get good milage.
