I had to set the pressure to 1.8 Bar at 0 PSI.
I had to almost remove the screw on the top of the regulator to get the pressure that low!
The main reason I was getting poor top-end performance, was because I was going lean in the top end. I think the spring was so uncompressed it wasn't doing the 1.7 mixture rise.
It was more like 1:1. Once I set it back to the 2.2 bar at 0 PSI, the normal 1:7 Rise started to work again. And I got my top-end back!
I prefer to have a really rich start-up and deal with changing the plugs every 5,000 miles!
In the end I think it would be easier to just mess with the source of the problem, rather than try to band-aid the main problems!
