it is an awesome trans
Ill have pics in a bit we paionted the subframe & he trans cases blue & yelllow like the swedish flag
the LSD is fun......... bouncing it off the rev limit in 1st gear at like 10MPH, the whole front of the car will go sideways with the crown of the road.
carl says the viggen feels like its way more sure footed & that he wishes he had done it to beginn with
the spacing of the gears (RPM drop apon shifting) is friggin perfect
its like a 600 or 700 RPM drop between all the gears verry evenly which allows you to keep the engine in the powerband verry easily
the 1st 4 gears are the same as the viggen like MT aero says
on my newgen I get a 1500RPM drop from 2nd to third & almost 2000RPM from 1st to second which makes it hard to get boost rite up there unless you shift super quick & at really high RPM
definatly worth it
IM gona try the viggen guts in a newgen case, with viggen axlesto determine of the cobalt guts can be swapped directly into a NG case.
I measured everything out verry carefuly & the only major diference I see on the NG vs the viggen case is that the seal boss for the right axle is bolt in for the NG & not on the viggen case (dident see the 1 inch of diference on the bell housing I was told was there)
Ill try it on mine before further advising on this but as of now the viggen case with the cobalt inners is the way to go as fas as Im concerned
Ill get pics up ASAP
take care
