I read the post below re: better intercooler perfomance numbers and that whole discussion, however being the DIY guy I am, I'd like to know if any SAABer knows the maximum effective size (read: dimensions) that can be placed in front of the radiator with the AC heat exchanger removed...

I specifically bought the 9000 fmic, with the intent to weld on custom end tanks and run that, but with recent discussion on this board it seems that that may not be the best investment in time and money for my c900.

So with that said,
my car is a an 87 SPG, that after the rebuild will be modified as follows:
12b (or if I can16b) mitsu t3-05 turbo
modded apc (resistor replacements, pot turns)
2.1 head and intake
3bar fpr
redtop trionic injectors or 30# bosch
3 inch exhaust from the turbo back
cooler air intake (utilizing un-used stock intercooler space)
LH 2.2 CHip from Jak.
I hope to attain about 225-250 hp (with room to grow in)
