Wastegate might be blowing open under boost

I have sorted out some other isues in the car and have concluded that my wastegate is posibly blowing open under load. Metal piston BPV seems to be working properly, MBC and +A lines all god and solid. IC is upgraded. IC hose from turbo is solid, IC hose to delivery pipe is a solid High Temp silicon connector to MP SS delivery pipe. All vac lines are good and no leaks. I am still having some difficulties reaching max boost. The turbo is working but there is a sound like it is being dumped too early(excessive spool sound). The WGA seems to move freely but possibly not enough pressure in the actuator to hold is closed properly.
If I add a "helper spring" to the WG, how thick should it be? I was thinking of sticking a pretty heavy one on there for a run to indeed confirm that it is the WG blowing open. Alos if anyone has done this, do you have any pics to share as to what you attached the spring to and where? Have I missed anything else?
