Hey Smeter,
You need to check your fuel pressure at the rail and under load(4th & 5th gear). Which fuel pump are you using? I have the Walbro 255lph and I have a hunch that mine may be defective. It is VERY loud in the morning and sounds like it's working very hard in general, not in a typical noisy big fuel pump way, but in a overworked kind of way. Frank told me after SOC that the stock pump would be OK to handle boosting all the way into 2nd and early 3rd gear, but not hard through the end of 3rd and not hard at all in 4th and 5th. (It's logical that the higher gears require more fuel.) Change your fuel filter first, then check pressure at the rail. If you haven't changed the pump yet you're crazy, but assuming that you have, check the fuel lines in the tank that connect to the pump as well, they can pop off if they are being re-used and the fle lines can collapse under suction if the demand is high. (I think this might be my problem) Good luck Rob. :o)
