Hello Bryan, Steve. and every one . This is Shane from SAAB TUNERS.
Thanks for helping SAABRIDER getting my info. As far as the wheels being 40mm. I wonder why Steve had to install spacers. I have fitted many 40mm wheels 17x7 and 18x7.5 on C900 and never had an issue. what happens is that when the car is raised on the lift. A- The Rear: the rear control arm especially the right side moves in a position where it touches the inner edge of wheel making you believe that you have no clearance. however once the car is lowered on the ground the control arm goes back to its normal position and you will have plenty of clearance. B) The Front: almost a similar case happens with the front wheels. once the car is raised on the lift or jacked up the axles drop moving the wheel inward closer to the spring seat making you believe that it is to close and you can not turn the wheels. as soon as the car is lowered to the ground the wheels go back to their normal position and a normal clearance is achieved.The wheels work with out spacers. A 5 mm spacer is good but not needed in order to install the wheels. However if any one chooses to use a spacer it wont hurt as long as it is 5mm and as long as it is hub-centric and has a hub centric lip for the wheels to set on and get centered correctly when bolted.
