My 9-5 automatic wagon has been progressively hotted up over the last 5 years. The last two years it passed PA emissions/safety without any issues. Here is a summary of the upgrades to my 99 9-5 automatic wagon.
Saab 9-5 diesel snorkel pipe ( Genuine Saab), Genuine Saab enlarged airfilter ( larger than K&N in stock airbox), ( Genuine Saab inlet pipe (airfilter to turbo), replaced the Stock GT17 with a stock 9-5 Aero TD04 turbo, Group 9 intercooler ( stock location), MP performance 3 inch downpipe & 2 1/2inch throttle body pipe, 3 inch turbo to tailpipe ( mostly JT but with a large central resonator to keep the sound down), Saab 9000 aero cams (T5), & finally Jak Stage 3+ ECU ( runs about 19-20 lbs boost). In its current form it probably is about 285-295hp with plans to upgrade. Future plans include a TD04HL19T with the 6CM exhaust housing from a 9000 & the later 9-5 single piece inlet manifold ( so I can enlarge the injectors). With those two & a revist to JAK - I hope to get 335-350Hp. Over the years I upgraded the suspension/brakes to Aero levels.
