...had them installed for about 6 months maybe? I went with the H&Rs because the drop was rated at 35mm vs 30mm for the Eibachs. I've seen Daveship's car and others w/ Eibach springs and honestly I don't think there is much difference, if any, in height. The bigger question for you is can you find the Eibachs for your car? I have a 2003 Aero as well and when I was looking for Eibachs to fit, they had been discontinued. If I remember they were only available for pre-2002 cars back when I was looking. I have the Konis adjusted at 50% front and 75% rear, and I'm very pleased with the handling.
Sometimes I think about switching to Bilsteins b/c they are gas-pressured shocks instead of hydraulic twin-tube like the Konis. I've read that the Bilsteins give a softer rider but are not as tight in corners. Honestly I think it's very subjective and without installing them on your own car you never really know.
I've also added a subframe brace, which was manufactured abroad and purchased through a group buy on another unmentionable SAAB website. The whole idea of the brace came from the fact that a strut tower brace was tried with very little result. It seems that the 9-5 flexes much more down low than up at the strut towers. There is a strut tower brace available, however, from yet another unmentionable SAAB retail site. The subframe brace was only $140 shipped and made a huge improvement in handling and steering precision, even after the H&R/Koni setup. Best money I've spent yet.
There's a lot of discussions about beefier anti-roll bars and oversteer. You could upgrade your rear ARB, but you will induce oversteer since the car is naturally setup to understeer. I don't know how you drive, so I'm not sure whether you are looking for this or not. If you wanna look into it further email me and I can give you the names of those other sites. Cheers.
