If you are only doing autocross I would also go with 15x6-7's, there is no need to go wider! Going with 17-18 in rims would allow you to run a big brake kit which really isn't a issue for auto x. Tires will be cheaper
Also, instead of large wheels you will get MUCH better result from Brad's adjustable springs!! So spend your money there & use some old saab rims if needed.
Intrax are to soft for agressive driving. I had a set on 2 of my SPG's both with koni's at different setting & they work great, just very soft in the turns. Get the adjustable springs...
FWIW I use 18x7 225-40 Toyo RA-1's on my SPG with 335mm AP Racing brakes :)
My take is C900 with adjustable springs & 15 in rims is far superior to intrax/lesjofords, B&G. etc with 17 or 18 in rims
