aftemarket downpipe problems

I have a LSP downpipe on my viggen & I cannot keep the downpipe attatched. The DP where it meets the turbo constantly backs off on the top side causing the exh gasses to leak. We have tried a few things & the last time we tac welded the nut to the stud. This helped a little longer however every 100 miles or so it still backs out.
Any thoughts on what to do? My mechanic thinks I need a new downpipe & wanted me to throw the OEM one back on which I no longer have. He also thinks maybe put a flexpipe in the middle of the DP somewhere so hopefully allow the DP to fit properly.
Any other ideas?
Finally, any thought on how to make it a little quieter? I have a race cat & a magnaflow muffler. Would adding a resonator or another muffler help? I just want to tone it down a litte bit
