It’s always fun to turn up the power until something goes boom, but I’m a little confused with the concept of searching for the limits of a stock b204.
There have been enough melted lumps of two liter iron on the Swedish side of the pond for us to know that 500hp’s worth is about as much fuel and air as you want to cram into a stock one.
Rather than setting something up that is doomed to fail at a known point, doesn't it make sense to cut to the chase and slap in some forged pieces, along with the supporting build to make something that can hold together at this demand? Nitrous' plug and play appeal can make a little grin turn into a huge smile very quickly, but the 500hp engine pop is quick to make a frowning wallet.
I would love to see some stateside SAABs that produces those 500+ whp curves with the same reliability and consistency as the more mild tunes that most people here use. Obviously that is a great challenge, but it would be really nasty when you've pulled it off.
(found this 2 cents on the floor at Hooters)
