straight line acceleration without a doubt goes to the NG900 models. Does that mean that a C900 can't be built? No. There are all kinds of C900 beasts out there preying on the uninformed.
I don't have any strong personal opinions but I've heard the c900 chassis is a better corner carver. It's been several years since I parted with my 88 SPG so I can't really weigh in on the differences. I am more of a "straight line" kind of guy anyway, so maybe someone with experience here can elaborate?
I have a 1996 900 SETC and I absolutely LOVE it! I am a muscle car guy from way back and have owned everything from Porsche turbos to Jaguar V-12s. This little 900 is a blast. They are VERY easily modified and can make a LOT of power for a light little chassis with very little money spent.
Have fun!
