There are 3 knobs, actually "pots", but only 2 of which you should or would adjust. One controls "how much" boost, another controlls "how quick" the boost comes on, and the third, that you should never ever touch is the knock detection (knock is very very bad). If all you do is turn the pots without doing any resistor and capacitor work (the soldering) you are wasting your time. My car had this for a year or so and it was just a tease. The boost would crank up, but then as soon as you got up in the revs and into the power band, it would fall right back down to stock levels. So I had a friend who is much better at soldering than me and was way more knowledge of circuit boards set me up proper-like. He simply followed the guidelines on this site...

and now it's amazing. The boost is great, you can tune it to as much or as little boost as you want, and it will hold it. There are options out there where you can spend 200 or 250 bucks on an aftermarket APC, but this is more than enough for me. It made me realize the true potential of my 2.0 turbo, even though it's just an 85 winter beater.
Hope that helps
