Colby, as we discussed in the other thread... I did the mods to my box (granted it is the older style 85 box) and I ended up with the pots only slightly being turned up above stock levels, yet I'm running 22 PSI all day long.
Once we did the resistors and what not, we actually set the pots back to the stock levels. Then we drove the car and tweaked it from there, and as I said, we ended up only having to turn the pots up slightly from stock levels. If you have them turned up all the way then that is NOT good. You should not have to turn them up that high at all. You really need to make sure the motor is solid before trying to up the boost. I'm also not sure what you are running for an FPR or injectors, but if upper teens for PSI is what you're seeking, you will need to up the fuel to keep up with the added boost.
And... as was said, check you base boost
