300 BHP is a lofty goal, not to say that it can't be done, but it WILL cost you lots of money, not only in the upgrades, but mostly in the transmission department.

As far as an exhaust goes... if you are eventually shooting for 300 BHP, then 3" will be the way to go. Some people are more than content with a 2.5", and from all I've heard, that is fine, but I don't think the extra half inch hurts anything. Biggest thing on the exhaust with the 900's is right off the exhaust, you want to look into getting rid of the 90 degree elbow that the exhaust gasses smash into as soon as they leave the turbo. There are lots of options available and I'm sure you'll get lots of other input.

Oh, and it also doesn't hurt to use the search feature and see what has been posted in the past regarding 3" exhausts and what not (there is a quite a bit out there).
