I tried the 9-5 board and got few responses. I thought the major gearheads (intended as a compliment) over here might have seen this. I have an 06 9-5 with about 15.5K miles. Intermittently when hot, it runs like crap. Boost is severly reduced, it hesitates and stumbles, and strains to do anything. Of course with it being intermittent the dealer can't find it. And for all the nice things I have said about my dealer, the note on my last service order that said they had informed the customer that "turbos perform differently in hot weather" ticked this repeat SAAB owner off. I guess owning 6 turbo or supercharged cars in a row means nothing.
It sort of feels like some cars owned previously that were prone to vapor lock on a hot restart. It starts fine, and 90+% of the time it runs great. There is no check engine light or stored codes. It only happens when it is hot, you park it for 30-45 minutes and then restart or if you spend about 30 minutes in creeping traffic when the SID is reading 105+. I live in an area where all fuel has 10% ethanol and I use premium from major brands and I am not at a high altitude. My question: What do you think is the cause of my problem? I am stumped.
