Another Saab tuner, or BSR re-branding? Posted by MI-Roger [Email] (#882) [Profile/Gallery] (more from MI-Roger) on Wed, 12 Dec 2007 18:44:35 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I just learned of another tuning company, RICA Engineering from the Netherlands, which offers performance tuning for Saabs. RICA uses a PPC which looks identical to the BSR unit other than their name on the label.
RICA's website has a comprehensive listing of Saab model and engine combinations. Their generic PPC instruction manual, which is viewable on-line, has 3 of its 28 pages devoted to Saab T7 program loading.
My strong hunch is that the RICA device is a re-branded BSR PPC unit. It also costs slightly more, and they only list one US supplier, but they advertise free internet upgrades of the ECU performance programs for registered owners.
Can BSR PPC owners confirm if BSR offers this same internet download service for program updates? If not, then maybe RICA is truly another performance tuner.
