GM bulit a twin-turbo version of this engine... Posted by MI-Roger [Email] (#882) [Profile/Gallery] (more from MI-Roger) on Mon, 10 Mar 2008 11:00:30 In Reply to: 9-7 4.2l, Eng Saab, Sun, 9 Mar 2008 13:25:20 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Unfortunately they never built it for sale, just for testing and Magazine reviews. They had to beef up the entire drive train (transmission, transfer case, differentials, etc.) to handle the power. Some parts came from the GM Parts bin, Caddy XLR if I remember correctly, and the Trailblazer SS may have some stronger components too.
Search within old auto magazine archives for a Trailblazer with Twin-turbo for more info on what had to be strengthened since it sounds as if you will be building something similar.
