clutch question

Hi, am writing to ask a question about a 6sp manual clutch, 2007 93ss. I am experiencing some slippage using stock settings, but only when I accelerate hard (foot to the floor) or during a time when you push hard at a relatively low rpm (near full throttle in 3rd from 2500rpms). Is this normal? or is this a sign of clutch wearing out? I have a stage 1 bsr tuner(was a gift, love my girlfriend!), but am afraid to tune, fearing the upgrade in torgue will make my problems worse. Now with the correct driving style, I shouldnt have any problems correct? If you agree, how to teach the gf to drive proper? Thanks in advance to any who respond.
