Dave at Group 9 sells good units, but I think group9 went out of business and dave is operating from his shop called Lesco in California. He may still have upgraded apc units to sell still, you can check with him. I have swedish dynamics newest version of their upgaded apc. I'm very satisfied but I'm sure JAK is great too! The do it yourself version isn't as good as what these guys do in the aftermarket world of performance so do yourself a favour and buy one of these guys units. The apc allows for more boost, but it doesn't automatically make you have more boost. You must upgrade other components to actually get more boost. Talk to them and determine what amount of power you want and then go from there. You'll need more fuel, better intake, larger intercooler and exhaust, and larger turbo to make 250hp like my classic 900T does. But start with the apc, from there add more perfomrance parts as needed to get higher boost and make more power.
